The cute people I cry over at home:

GREG
My kind, techy/mechanic Hubby is ridiculously patient with me, and actually loves that I feel things so deeply, even if it means I’m constantly crying. This man makes me laugh, can fix anything, loves learning and is super generous with his time, resources and heart. They say third time's a charm, but in our case, it's the second.

JASPER
I have a firstborn everything, my Boy, Jasper. He’s a sophomore in HS, which means currently he makes me cry when we talk about him driving, college options, him moving out (please hold me), and when I watch him play basketball. I either cry cuz I’m proud of him out there, or because I can tell when he’s angry with himself, and that makes my heart hurt for him. He’s a thoughtful, sweetheart of a guy who loves all things sports, planes, weaponry, drumming and Xbox.

TEILEY
My firecracker firstborn Girl, Teiley. Boy oh boy, has this amazing human really kept me in tears the past decade! She is strong willed and sassy, and especially hilarious. We’ve spent much of her life arguing and crying because of each other, but in the past 6 months it’s been a lot more of crying WITH each other. She’s now a homeschool kid who gets to spend her days in creative play, designing clothes and other art, and I am so blessed and grateful at how much better we get along now that we spend so much more time together. Who woulda thunk it?!

BABY Q
The kid that has likely caused us all the most tears so far is newly-3 year old Quinleigh. As if having a toddler isn’t scary enough, this particular spitfire came into the world 16 days late…and a mere 16 hours later tried to leave it again. We spent a long 19 days in the hospital with her (feel free to scroll through old posts and read about her story here), and finally brought home a super healthy, super smart miracle baby…and a legit case of PTSD. She keeps us on our toes (and knees) with her quick wit, giant vocabulary and mischievous grin. This one's always got something up her tiny sleeve.

This is my tribe, in a nutshell. As with anyone else, there’s so much more to our story, which you're invited to follow…

Xoxo.
